Experience the power

of mindfulness with moments of noble silence

A deep practice of inner stillness

Noble silence, a fundamental aspect of this retreat, extends beyond mere quietude; it embodies a deep practice of inner stillness and focused awareness. Within this silence, we carve out space for introspection, enabling our minds to settle and our authentic selves to surface.

What research says about the benefits of silence

Studies have revealed that embracing noble silence can yield significant health advantages for those grappling with stress and overwhelm. By nurturing a tranquil mind, we diminish the release of stress hormones like cortisol, fostering relaxation and mental clarity. This, in turn, can enhance sleep quality, elevate cognitive function, and bolster overall well-being.

An immersive experience

As you immerse yourself in this transformative practice, you'll find yourself better equipped to manage stress, cultivate inner peace, and lead a life of greater presence and purpose.

The combination of meditation, creative work, Buddhist philosophy and therapy was beyond anything I could have hoped for. "I had the privilege and honour to attend a Mindfulness Meditation retreat organised by Akanista. The hosts, Nitima and Karuna, are genuinely the nicest people I have the pleasure to meet. They will go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of your time at the retreat and will do whatever it takes to make your feel comfortable. This retreat was a life changing experience for me personally! If I could, I'd give 10 out of 10 to Akanista for this amazing retreat, and would highly recommend it to everyone."
